There are so many healthy activities that people can do in our community, you just have to pick one and do it! Here is a list of items that are available this month.

The People’s Market – Sponsored by Slow Food in the Tetons every Wednesday from 4 - 7 pm. Support local farmers and food producers at the base of Snow King. Locally grown vegetables, home-made prepared foods, locally produced cheeses and other goodies. In addition, each week two local non-profits are featured. https://tetonslowfood.org/peoples-market/.

Jackson Hole Farmer’s Market – Saturday’s on the Town Square you will find local and regional fruits, vegetables, baked goods and more! 8 AM – 12 Noon. Click here for more information: http://www.jacksonholefarmersmarket.com/.

Hike a local trail – From the walking and bike trail near the post office, to the uphill workout of Snow King, there are trails to fit most everyone’s level of fitness. See a list of 10 good hikes here:http://skinnyskis.com/11-great-hikes-jackson-hole/, or ask a local!

Rent a raft, canoe or paddleboard – Go to one of our local rental outfitters and find everything you need for river fun, camping or four-wheeling. Please make sure you travel and recreate safely, know where you are going, and are knowledgeable about how to use all rented equipment before heading out.

Head to the National Museum of Wildlife Art – Spend a day in air-conditioned comfort while viewing some of the best wildlife art in the world. This local treasure has a kid’s corner, a great gift shop and a restaurant with a view to die for, make this a must-do for visitors and locals alike! https://www.wildlifeart.org/.

Volunteer with a community organization – Go to the local Volunteer JH page on the Community Foundation’s website to see the current needs for volunteering around the community. For those in recovery or concerned about substance use -
Attend a local meeting or other type of alcohol-free support group.

SMART Recovery – Wednesdays, 6 PM, in the Curran Seeley Offices, 610 W. Broadway, lower level. https://www.smartrecovery.org/.

Zenity Now Yoga Classes - The meditative yoga practice called “Zenity Now” blends yoga and the 12 steps of recovery. Yoga experience and/or recovery are not requirements. Everyone is welcome! Tuesdays 7:00 - 8:00 pm and Thursdays 4:15 - 5:15 pm. Go to http://tetonyoga.com/ to sign up for a class.

Refuge Recovery - A Buddhist path to recovering from addiction. Mondays - 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The Cabin at Inversion, 290 N. Millward St. To learn more, go to refugerecovery.org.

Al-Anon – For family members or friends who are concerned about someone’s drinking. Local meetings are held at the First Baptist Church on Mondays and Fridays at noon and Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. https://al-anon.org/. To find a local meeting, click here: Al-Anon Jackson Meetings.
